Look back on the past year, it was an extraordinary year for YC, and a milestone year for us, because it was the year we formally founded.All of our hard work, our hardship, and our persistence finally got paid off in November 2016.

In 2016 YC maintained sound and steady development momentum. We started with only a few people, then become a dozen, and now we have increased to almost 100 people. We moved out of the bare office into today’s 3000 square meters high-end clinic. We have became strategic partners with well-known international companies and corporations.We established the first ambulatory surgery center in Pudong Shanghai, China, and implemented the concept of Urgent Care from the US to the Chinese medical market.YC is now known as a professional minimally invasive center and also known as a cozy clinic.The achievements that we have made today contains everyone's hard work. These achievements is what we and our friends who supported us have wished for.

Yosemite Clinic (YC) had 3 dreams at the very start of this project: 

1. To build a professional minimally invasive surgery center (ambulatory surgery center), and provide professional and meticulous service.

2. To create a high quality platform for  multi-sited licensed doctors.

3. Rebuild the trust between doctors and patients, and become a honest medical institution which will educate the public with health related information.

1.To build a professional minimally invasive surgery center (ambulatory surgery center), and provide professional and meticulous service, reduce the fear of having an “operation”.

We have achieved this first dream.After all the work the team has put in, we have built the first independent minimally invasive surgery center (ambulatory surgery center).

In the traditional medical concept, there’s always a sense of fear when people talk about surgeries.If someone in the family was in need of a surgery, it often would create mass panic.This is because it always follow with a long period of hospitalization, the patient moving from department to department, worried and exhausted families, cold hearted doctors. The patient would get stressed both physically and mentally.

In fact, surgeries are not always like that. When patients come to YC, they will be assessed by our professional medical team. Patients will receive all of their examinations under the care of our doctors and nurses in a very comfortable environment. We will provide complete anaesthetic procedures, and after the surgery some patients can be discharged on the same day.

Is this really possible?Yes, because this surgery model is already widely accepted and recommended in developed countries in Europe and also in America.The reason is quiet simple, who would want to stay in hospitals?Everyone wants to get recovered as soon as possible so they can go back to their families.

Currently, there are more than 3500 types of conditions, and 23 million surgery cases are completed in ambulatory surgery centers in America every year.In European countries and America, ambulatory surgery makes up 80 to 90% of all surgeries conducted. Almost over 90% of surgeries can be performed using minimally invasive procedures. This will be the future direction for medical development in China.The appearance of ambulatory surgery center can create a smooth link between outpatient and operation, it will become an important part of the medical service system in the future.

As science technology advances, we are trying to fuse the concepts of ambulatory surgery and minimally invasive surgery, to create safe, convenient medical services with high standards.

However, the entry level of this type of surgery center is set very high. There are requirements need to be met, these include preoperative assessment, improved operation room conditions and equipment, professional and experienced surgeons and anaesthetists, optimized medical process, and complete postoperative follow up. Hence, establishing such surgery center requires a professional team to manage and operate.To achieve these requirements, our team has spent 10 years working on establishing such medical institution in China, and finally we have successfully built YC, an ambulatory surgery center which is comparable to international institutions.

2. To create a high quality platform for  multi-sited licensed doctors.

YC has set the stage for the second dream. We sincerely hope there will be more and more outstanding surgeons come to YC to provide medical services to our patients.

With the government’s multi-sited license policy for doctors, we hope to create a platform for outstanding doctors to practice. By doing so we want to build a nice and comfortable clinic.

Doctors with innovative thinking will notice this change in policy and react to it.Currently, most of the outstanding doctors are all working within the three-A hospitals system.Multi-sited license has provided a great opportunity to these doctors.When doctors are working in this mode, they only need to be focus on practising their professional skills, and in return they will receive a decent salary and the respect that they deserve.Of course, there are doctors already stepped out of the traditional system, and chose multi-sited license.

Now the question is, how to choose a decent doctor multi-sited license platform?Yosemite Clinic is a platform which provides high quality medical services.

In 2016, YC has already had some negotiations with outstanding medical teams.We are patient cantered, with doctors leading the patients. This philosophy has moved many doctors.We have also finalized on the cooperation intentions with many medical teams.In 2017, there will be increased medical teams working at Yosemite Clinic to offer professional service to the public.

It takes a doctor to know a doctor, and only a doctor knows what it takes to be a good doctor.As a medical institution founded by a professional team of surgeons and nurses,YC will choose the best doctors to treat our patients.

3. Rebuild the trust between doctors and patients, and become a honest medical institution which will educate the public with health related information.

For this third dream, there are still a lot of challenges. We need the whole industry to put in ongoing efforts to achieve this dream.YC has been putting effort in achieving this dream, we started from publishing health related articles on our Wechat official account since 22nd April, 2016. There are over a hundred original articles published, and we have gained trust from our audiences.

We truly believe that by allowing patients and their families to have a deeper understanding of the medical knowledge, they will be able to trust and understand the doctors.We have promised to be an honest medical institution, and we are involved in rebuilding mutual trust between doctors and patients. This is why we have been promoting medical knowledge in a way which is easy for patients to understand.Because medical activity is crucial in building trust.patients trust doctors with their lives.Doctors use their professional skills to help the patients to defeat illnesses. Sickness is our common enemy, doctors and patients should cooperate to defeat it.

It will allow our patients to be treated by well-known medical teams from all over the world conveniently.Meanwhile, we will integrate world class medical resources and equipment in our institution, and provide top quality healthcare for everyone around us.We will bring ambulatory minimally invasive surgery centre to people around us, and we will let everyone know that having a surgery isn’t something to be terrified about.
